Cybersecurity Analyst/Tier 2 Help-desk Support

We are a growing MSP in the NY/NJ Metro area, looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst to lead our Cyber division and contribute partly on our Help Desk team. The primary responsibilities will be split between Cybersecurity tasks, consulting with our clients, and taking Tier 2 help desk tickets. The Cybersecurity responsibilities will include:

• Point of contact for questions related to cybersecurity
• Point of escalation for technical security productscontrols
• Research, evaluate, deploy, and manage security productsservices
• Conduct security assessments and assist external auditors
• Advise and encourage client base to follow best-practice security principles
• Createrevise client company policy documents related to IT and IT security
• Deploy and manage group policies according to best practice, or compliance directives
• Investigate security events, respond to security incidents, and create reports
• Implement vulnerability mitigations and remediation
• Implement & review firewall/UTM best practice configuration
• Secure M365/azure environment
• Creating e-mail blasts to our clients regarding the latest cyber threats and valuable best practices

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Cybersecurity, Windows Workstations/Servers, EDRs, networking technologies, concepts, and protocols. A willingness to acquire and maintain knowledge of the latest standards, products, and practices relating to the IT field while providing professional and prompt service. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Customer services skills must be top notch to be able to maintain company standards.

Qualifications: Minimum of 4-6 years of IT work experience including Cybersecurity and Level 2-3 Help Desk.

Technical requirements include experience with:

• Cybersecurity protocols and practices
• Compliance consulting
• EDRs and Advanced Threat Protection
• Windows Workstation/Servers
• Advanced Networking on Firewalls and UTM devices (SonicWall experience a plus)
• Scripting/Powershell

· * Microsoft Certifications, CompTIA Security+, A+ and or Network + preferred but not mandatory.

Salary: $75,000.00 to $100,000.00 /year + Commission + Benefits
