JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for calling each new patient to welcome them. Included in this role is gathering and verifying all pertinent information necessary to adjudicate a prescription.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Place outbound called to patients and doctors to retrieve missing patient information needed for new prescriptions.
• Answer calls and patient inquiries regarding prescriptions, managing and resolving issues as necessary.
• Input patient data information when new prescriptions are received.
• Comply with all recordkeeping requirements as determined by management including calls placed and patient notes.
• Ensure that all required information is obtained from the patient.
• Route and escalate calls when required.
• Follow up with patients, doctors’ offices, pharmacists where necessary.
• Assist in handling any issues and concerns that may arise with fellow team members.
• Maintain efficient time with patients.
• Maintain good public relations; provide premier customer service and patient interaction.
• Ensure customer satisfaction, maintain positive working relationships.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Starting Rate: $16-$18 per hour

• Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Effective oral and written communication including ability to communicate with individuals in differing roles including employees, customers, and vendors.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Must be able to present a professional image including communication skills and appropriate demeanor with patients, team members and vendors.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1-3 years prior experience with customer/patient relations is preferred
