Summary of Position: The English adjunct at Indiana Wesleyan University would have the opportunity to teach 1-3 sections of ENG 120: Research Writing on the Marion campus. This composition course is part of our general education package and is required of all students. Ideal candidates will show evidence of personal faith in Jesus Christ, full agreement with the Wesleyan perspective, and a commitment to liberal learning as well as a fully integrated life of faith and work, embracing God’s purpose individually and collaboratively.
The Division of Modern Language and Literature provides critical leadership in reading, writing, literature, and languages for the College of Arts and Sciences on the Marion campus. The Division has 8 full-time faculty members and several adjunct faculty members. It offers seven majors (English, English Education, Spanish, Spanish Education, TESOL, TESOL Education, and Writing) and five minors (English, Spanish, TESOL, World Languages, and Writing).
Start date will be August 2023.
Duties and Responsibilities
Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.
Education
• Master of Arts in English or a minimum of 18 hours of graduate level coursework in English
Experience
• Teaching experience at the high school or college level

• Able to use and incorporate technology in the classroom and online learning platforms
