The Assistant Director in the Pam Rector Center for Service and Action (CSA) will be responsible for the execution of programs, events, and student support for the Community and Academic Engagement (CAE) team. As a university rooted in the Jesuit and Marymount traditions, our commitment to Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) is a reflection of our commitment to supporting the dignity of all people. This position will collaborate closely with faculty and community partners in and around Los Angeles to provide community-based learning (CBL) experiences that help students connect concepts learned in the classroom to service and justice experiences in the community.
The Center for Service and Action (CSA) is conducting a search for a professional staff member to join its Community and Academic Engagement team. Community and Academic Engagement coordinates the following activities: Relationships with CSA’s nonprofit community partners in and around Los Angeles, Community-Based Learning (CBL) courses, service and justice awards and grants, and LMU Special Games. The Community and Academic Engagement team collaborates closely with the Student Engagement team in CSA. CSA coordinates the following student engagement opportunities: Service Organizations, service and justice themed housing, the justice league, post-graduate volunteer service, and blood drives.
