As the Senior Analyst – State Tax, you will support the company’s property tax return preparation, property tax audits, income tax compliance, state tax planning, and income tax provision. What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Assist with the preparation of property tax returns with potential to grow into a review role
• Assist with and gain exposure to compliance preparation related to income tax, sales/use tax, Canadian GST, annual reports, and business licenses
• Maintain accuracy and completeness for all tax general ledger accounts
• Assist with process improvements related to the entire property compliance process
• Assist with property audits as the primary liaison between the state and GXO
• Collaborate with the tax team to create reports and work on special projects for upper management in areas including effective tax rate, cash taxes, and indirect taxes
• Research various state tax issues to ensure accuracy within the compliance process

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent related work experience
• 3 years of related state tax experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

It’d be great if you also have:

• Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation
• CPA certification
• Experience with PTMS software
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
