POSITION SUMMARYThis position will split time equally between the Physics department and the Statistics program. Responsibilities involve working collaboratively with statistics and physics faculty to develop and maintain lab materials for courses.
For statistics, duties will include working with faculty to develop and maintain Python and R course materials, managing the online servers for daily use, assisting students with coding, and troubleshooting as students use statistical software throughout the year.
For physics, duties include diagnosing, repairing and calibrating laboratory equipment, as well as supervising students in laboratory instrumentation setup. The ideal candidate would have experience in the Windows and Mac environment connecting laboratory instrumentation via Python. Familiarity with NI-VISA and PyVISA a plus.
