Green Thumb Industries Looking for Cost Analyst at Rolling Meadows, IL  Full Time

The Role

As a Cost Analyst at GTI, you will be responsible for supporting operations accounting, reporting, and analysis for CPG. Additionally, you will be responsible for supporting adhoc projects and identifying potential cost saving opportunities. You are expected to understand operations, processes, and costing for Wholesale Operations and be a strong representative of Operations Finance at your facility.

Responsibilities

• Support and/or complete monthend close processes and workpapers in accordance with GAAP and GTI procedures
• Support and/or prepare annual budget and monthly forecasts including variance analysis and analysis of assumptions/drivers
• Support monthly physical inventory process.
• Support and update cost models
• Prepare and communicate assigned reporting
• Analyze and coordinate packaging invoices; work with Procurement, Cultivation Sites, and Vendors to ensures packaging invoices/costs are timely and accurate
• Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports highlighting variances and opportunities for improvement
• Support and/or update policy and procedures
• Analyze and report on aged, discarded, and transferred inventory.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses, special projects, and other duties as assigned
• Support ERP and Purchase to Invoice processes as needed
• Collaborate with and support other functional teams as needed
• Support CPG productivity and cost reduction initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business-related field, Master’s Degree or CPA, preferred
• 3+ years of experience In accounting; Operations finance or cost accounting experience a plus
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office required
• Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense, and resourcefulness
• Adapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, non-verbal, written), with the ability to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
