About The Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering

The Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech and Emory University has a student body of 1,200 undergraduates, 260 graduate students, and 70 primary and 73 program faculty. The Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering (), a joint department between Georgia Tech’s College of Engineering and Emory University’s School of Medicine (Atlanta, GA), invites applicants for multiple tenured/tenure-track faculty positions. Applicants will be considered at all ranks. This search is open to all research areas in the field of Biomedical Engineering. We are particularly interested in candidates working in but not limited to the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Medical Robotics, Synthetic Biology, Cancer and Aging.

Successful candidates will be expected to develop a vibrant externally-funded research program, teach undergraduate and graduate level courses, and should have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and mentorship.

A PhD in engineering or related field is required by the start of the appointment.

Has expertise in teaching, scholarship, and/or service that contributes to access, diversity, and equal opportunity in higher education

Candidates with experience working in Artificial Intelligence, Medical Robotics, Synthetic Biology, Cancer and Aging.

The ability to teach and mentor a diverse student body

The ability to promote an inclusive and welcoming educational/work environment
