Leads and develop unit-specific Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) reports and generating related
reports that support the recruitment, hiring, retention, and promotion of employees. Lead and support
implementing and maintaining programs that promote opportunities identified by reports and diversity,
equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) in the workplace programs that are informed by research, data
analysis, and best practices. Support pipeline programs with Historically Black Colleges and
Universities (HBCUs) and Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs).
This position will interact on a regular basis with: Employees, student employees, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, GT Institute Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (IDEI), Leadership, GT Employee Relations, and community partners
This position typically will advise and counsel: Employees, student employees, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Leadership
This position will supervise: Assigned department staff
Job Duty 1 –
Lead and develop unit-specific Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) reports, surveys, assessments, initiatives, and programs
Job Duty 2 –
Create, develop, and implement curriculum for DEIB employee courses, trainings, and workshops for DEIB professional development opportunities
Job Duty 3 –
Consult and advise colleagues; partner and collaborate with colleagues, Georgia Tech-IDEI, and others to support advancing DEIB programs and initiatives
Job Duty 4 –
Analyze data, track results, generate reports, and manage communication strategies for DEIB initiatives
Job Duty 5 –
Support HBCUs and MSIs collaborative research, research partnerships, and pipeline programs development, engagement, and sustainment and other DEIB initiatives
Job Duty 6 –
Represent the unit to promote programs, services, and networking throughout the enterprise and the community to include K-12 STEM, external groups and organizations, and the community at the local, regional, national, and global levels
Job Duty 7 –
Supervise, plan, organize, train, and monitor the performance of assigned staff and volunteers
Job Duty 8 –
Perform other related duties as assigned
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Six to eight years of job-related experience
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Certifications or licenses preferred: DEI-related certifications
Quantitative and analytical experience
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master’s degree in related field of study
ABILITIES
Ability to understand, analyze, and interpret policies and procedures at the local, state, and federal levels
Ability to make timely, data and research-informed, decisions and course(s) of action for areas of responsibility
Ability to maintain confidentiality
KNOWLEDGE
Working understanding or familiarity of the various laws that impact DEIB climate, Educational and professional development areas, including (but not limited to) ADA/504, Section 503, VEVVRA, and Executive Order 11246, Title IX, Title VII, EEOC, and OFCCP. Knowledge and understanding of best practices and trends for DEIB in broad areas to inform job duties. Understanding of best practices and trends for DEIB in STEM fields and other work-related
areas
SKILLS
Past development of Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) Reports and engagement programs. Supervision and team leadership experience. Project management experience and consistency meeting deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work as part of cross-functional teams. Ability to explain complex diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging concepts and subject matter. Strong presentation skills

Aniticpated annual salary: $78,452 – $106,696 commensurate with experience and qualifications
