Job Overview
The Director of Admissions is responsible for all matters pertaining to recruitment, admissions, scholarship, advertising, and as needed, special events for the Center for Security Studies (CSS)/Security Studies Program (SSP). They develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive recruitment and communications plan designed to attract and retain an academically talented and diverse student body from the U.S. and overseas.
In addition, they manage and oversee application processes which include updating application materials, reviewing applications, supervising the admissions committee, and determining all final admissions decisions; prepare advertisements and other publications and manage program admissions content online; and coordinate SSP scholarship procedures, including the awarding of scholarships, and administer scholarship awards with the Graduate School.
Work Interactions
Reporting to the Director of CSS, the Director of Admissions supervises the Assistant Director of Admissions and Alumni Engagement and is a member of the of the overall graduate admissions team at the SFS.
