Job Description Summary: |
Human Resource Management & Development (HRMD) is made up of several departments that serve as advocates for the GW community and consistently provide discreet, valuable and personalized service that is timely and responsive. HRMD helps GW to maintain a diverse workforce of the highest caliber and to support employees in their roles within the university. The Administrative Associate position provides enhanced administrative support to one or more individuals while serving as the one of the points of contact with whom visitors and callers to the Office of the Vice President and Chief People Officer (VP and CPO) and Human Resource Management and Development (HRMD) department interact. This position will support and report to the Assistant Vice President, Service and Engagement. This position applies knowledge and skills to resolve non-routine administrative duties independently or with other team members. This position will also serve as back up to the administrative assistant that supports the Vice President and Chief People Officer (VP and CPO). This position performs a variety of administrative duties to ensure smooth and efficient operation of HRMD.
Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position. |

Minimum Qualifications: |
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
