Responsibilities
Summary
The Director’s position manages the daily operations of a community corrections facility providing supervision and essential programming services to Transition clients from the Colorado Department of Corrections and/or Diversion clients sentenced from the Judicial System. The position It ensures the quality of programs and compliance with the Company, CDCJ Standards, and El Paso County Division of Justice Services contractual requirements. This position is also responsible for managing the facility’s budget and the supervision of staff.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
* Ensures timely delivery and accuracy of Case Planning, Progression Matrix, B-Smart Rewards and Sanctions Program, and treatment assessments.
* Ensures effective integration of support services such as medical, food service, vocational programs, facility evidence based programs, classification, family reunification functions, services, maintenance, and security and education.
* Inspects facility to ensure compliance with ACA (American Correctional Association), PREA (Prison Rape Elimination Act), Colorado Department of Criminal Justice Standards (CDCJ), and El Paso County Division of Justice Services contractual requirements, Security and Sanitation surveys, and financial audits Compliance with DOH (Department of Health) standards, company policies and procedures and all contracting entities.
* Prepares facility budgets and monitors income and expenditures.
* Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of all facility-related reports and updates local policy as required.
* Develop strategic plan to implement goals and strategies to meet the mission and vision of the program.
* Oversees the hiring, training and supervision of all facility employees and performs staff evaluations and accountability.
* Acts as liaison with contracting agencies/funding sources and other entities such as local Community Corrections agencie.
Attend Community Corrections Board meetings and be responsive to the Boards inquiries and request
* Responds to non-routine resident request slips and official inquiries.
* Conducts facility investigations
* Ensures physical plant is maintained through appropriate use of facility budget and CAPex requests.
* Seeks opportunities to enhance facility revenues.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
* Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services field or Criminal Justice plus five (5) years of experience in management. Professional Experience will substitute for the degree on a year for year.
* Preferred experience working with hard to serve clients.
* Ability to use personal computers and associated software applications.
* Valid driver’s license from the state in which the duties are performed
