OVERVIEW
The Maintenance and Reliability Leader is responsible for providing leadership for a 24/7 plant maintenance team as well as drive plant maintenance systems forward. The Maintenance and Reliability Leader is responsible for direct and indirect reports, potentially including but not limited to Maintenance Leads, Maintenance Team Leaders, Maintenance Planners and Storeroom Leaders. This position requires considerable interaction with plant floor personnel, leadership team, engineering, external support, and vendors.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead Milwaukee team in delivering a strong reliability organization and culture.
- Develop Maintenance master plan to bring maintenance foundational systems to deliver site master plan.
- Lead organization to implement asset care strategies to improve % of A critical assets with a strategy
- Build and maintain a strong working relationship with Maintenance Leadership, Planners, Storeroom personnel, Engineers, Operators, and Mechanics.
- Develop and foster a communication network that promotes interaction between mechanics, operators, Team Leaders, and managers.
- Create a proactive work environment that involves mechanics in the planning, coordinating, and execution of work.
- Owns Planned Maintenance Pillar locally and provides leadership to ensure that Maintenance Leads, Team Leaders and Planners develop an Equipment Reliability Program that incorporates the 12 systems of Planned Maintenance.
- Develop expertise in the maintenance organization on all electrical/controls platforms.
- Responsible for Plant Maintenance budgets for all business platforms along with production facilities.
- Ensure effective utilization of plant maintenance resources.
- Manage the integrity and maintenance of all plant assets, including production equipment, facilities and utility equipment.
- Establish maintenance prevention specifications to ensure the plant and equipment is reliable and easily maintained.
- Engage in strategy, direction, and execution discussions for maintenance/reliability and plant-wide initiatives.
- Coach and develop line team maintenance leads to enable breakthrough results and use of foundational systems
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-6 years manufacturing experience
- Demonstrated Leadership Capabilities in a manufacturing environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related degree with applicable experience or extensive relevant work experience
- Practical Knowledge of Site Computerized Maintenance Management System
- Demonstrated understanding of technology, including complexities of products, equipment, and costs
- Demonstrated understanding of proper elements of Preventive/Predictive Maintenance program
- Development of best practice standards for all Maintenance functions and activities
- Understanding and experience interacting with multiple business functions, including Quality Control, Purchasing, Distribution, Human Resources, Finance and especially Operations.
- Experience with World Class Maintenance, TPM, or similar systems
