Job Description Summary Job Description We are looking for a highly experienced Sales & Use Tax Senior Manager to join our multinational organization. The Sales & Use Tax Senior Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing sales and use tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities, ensure compliance with state and local tax laws and regulations, and improve overall tax efficiency. Job Description: + Responsible for developing and implementing tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with state and local tax laws and regulations + Coordinate and collaborate with internal and/or external tax return preparers to ensure compliance requirements are timely met, including coordinating information requests between internal/external stakeholders and reviewing GE Vernova inputs/tax computations for all entities in defined region; + Ensure timely and accurate sales and use tax payments + Work with the US tax team to ensure consistency in tax policies and procedures. + Provide training and guidance to finance and operational teams on sales and use tax compliance and reporting requirements + Monitor and analyze changes in tax laws and regulations across the US and provide recommendations for proactive measures to address any potential impact. + Manage and advise on sales and use tax controversy, including communication with tax authorities, preparing responses to information requests, and resolving audit issues. + Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize tax planning and identify opportunities for tax savings. + Identify areas for process, systems, reporting improvements to ensure adequacy and function of all tax compliance programs and initiatives within areas of assigned responsibility; and + Collaborate across GE Vernova Tax Team to provide training and share best practices. + Supervise and train newcomers and analysts + Additional tax related tasks as needed Basic Qualifications: + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + At least 8 years of relevant experience in sales and use tax compliance, including experience with multi-state and multi-jurisdictional tax filings + Strong knowledge of sales and use tax laws and regulations across the US. Desired Characteristics: + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. + Experience in managing tax compliance and reporting processes. + Experience in handling tax audits and disputes. + Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor and coach junior staff members. + Professional certification, such as CPA, CMA, or CITP. + Ability to provide tax advice to senior management and business leaders. + Experience in managing relationships with tax authorities and external advisors. + Strong attention to detail and accuracy. The salary range for this position is $167,300.00 – $223,100.00 – $278,900.00 USD Annual . The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for annual variable incentive compensation of 15%.
