Four Points Technology Looking for Account Receivable Specialist/Collector at Herndon, VA  Full Time

Summary:  In accordance with company policies and procedures, this position is responsible for daily customer invoicing, collections, and spreadsheet maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Responsible for the collection activities of both current and past due accounts.
• Track and monitor overdue accounts using Four Points Technology’s ERP system and a variety of government systems.
• Record information regarding status of collection for Management to review.
• Responsible for daily billing activities.
• Responsible for reviewing daily shipped not invoiced reports.
• Assist with project setup and monthly project billings.
• Assist with contract close-outs and waiver releases.
• Train to assist Order Management and Purchasing staff as backup for the following:

• Review orders submitted by sales and process order information in Four Points Technology’s Financial System.
• Create and place vendor purchase orders.
• Process order change requests.
• Track open purchase orders to ensure customer delivery is on time.
• Ensure all submitted new orders and order changes comply with policies and procedures.

• Work with Contracts to ensure compliance with catalog management processes and procedures.
• Assist with AP functions as needed.
• Display a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operate effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrate trustworthiness and responsible behavior.
• Candidate will acknowledge and participate in annual ethics and security training provided by Four Points.
• Candidate will review, acknowledge and participate in any US government and regulatory security trainings periodically as required in their role.
• Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Experience using Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Dynamics NAV financial management and project accounting solution preferred and helpful.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Understanding of concepts of basic algebra and geometry required.
• Knowledge of complex accounting formulas and ratio calculations preferred.
• Must possess the ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Education/Experience:

• BS/BA Degree in Finance or other related field, OR
• Associate’s Degree in Finance or other related field and 1-2 years related experience, OR
• 4-6 years of applicable experience, OR
• An equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.
