Job Description
A. Provide appropriate medical care
1. Aid all employees’ w/injuries occurring in the course of employment for occupational and non-occupational injuries. Call 911 for emergency response when needed.
2. Transport all employees to outside medical facility when injured at work…First visits and ER visits only.
3. Instruct employees on proper care of injury or illness.
4. Communicate with outside medical professionals, TPA’s and management as needed regarding claims.
5. Provide light duty assignments as needed from doctor.
6. Relay doctor’s orders to Management and Human Resources.
7. Be at work and on time, maintain consistent professionalism in the Medical Services Dept, to include appropriate dress code. Maintain a clean professional office in appearance and operation.
B. Complete proper documentation
1. Enter case information into Origami to include all follow-up care until case is closed.
2. Maintain complete and accurate individual employee medical notes regarding all treatment. Record and file original Doctors’ notes in the employee case in Origami.
3. Provide employees with appropriate Workers’ Compensation Documentation when claim is filed; ensure accurate completion, forward to TPA in accordance with OSHA and Self-Insured requirements. Copy reports to appropriate management personnel.
4. Update daily / weekly logs and summaries.
C. Restock office inventory on a daily basis; check and restock first aid kits, sanitizing stations, and AED’s in plant on a weekly basis. 1. Track inventory. Disinfect Biohazardous trashcan as needed.
D. Adhere to all OSHA, State and Federal regulations. Receive and appropriately process non-job related medical notes in accordance with HIPAA laws.
E. Prepares and assists with hearing test paperwork for annual testing process and assist HRl in the application of the Drug and Alcohol Policy. Assist with onsite testing as needed
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; frequently walk and stand; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee may frequently lift and /or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications
1. Current EMT certification and CPR Certification.
2. Legible handwriting.
3. Good oral and written communication skills.
4. Must be detailed oriented and accurate in documentation tasks.
5. Bilingual in Spanish / English is helpful.
6. Ability to deal with a wide variety of people under stressful circumstances in a professional manner.
7. PC & Microsoft Office skills required.
8. Knowledge of OSHA/WISHA Regulations.
KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Bilingual/biliterate in another language preferred.
2. Able to handle multiple priorities with competing deadlines
3. Positive interpersonal skills and establish effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and external HR contacts.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:
Operate a personal computer on a daily basis.
This position requires the use of various office equipment including, but not limited to: copiers, fax machines, scanners, sorters, filing mechanisms, and a large variety of other office equipment not listed; which pertain to the task or duty assigned.
