The Florida State University Career Center
Responsibilities
The IT Manager provides IT system support and management for the Career Center and Career Center events; provides and manages technical solutions for the department; oversees the overall direction, planning, and system implementation for the department; manages departmental technical resources including hardware, software, and servers; monitors network activity; and oversees general troubleshooting in coordination with other University resources and contracted vendors as needed.
Provide desktop (hardware, software) support for approximately 100 workstations and laptops. Troubleshoot and problem-solve technical issues. Advise department on needs and enhancements, and implement appropriate policies and procedures. Manage all program and conference room equipment in the Dunlap Success Center, including computers, projectors, and lobby displays.
Manage and support both on- and off-premises servers for specialized software applications, including display applications.
Support vendor-supplied web-based application used for on-campus interviewing, job listings, career expos, student/alumni registration and resume database. Liaise with University IT to ensure download and display of appropriate student and employer information. Provide off-site support for specialized events.
Oversee and contribute to the maintenance of the Career Center’s websites, including main site, Garnet & Gold Scholar Society site, and Pre-Law site.
Train and support users with varying goals, knowledge, and skills from a variety of audiences (e.g., students, alumni, faculty, staff, and employers). Supervise and IT train interns.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or other appropriate degree and four years’ experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)

Anticipated Salary Range
The anticipated salary range is mid to upper $50,000’s, commensurate with education and experience.
