University’s Health Services (UHS) at Florida State University (FSU) envisions a healthy community where every student thrives. UHS’s mission is to promote and improve the overall health and well-being of FSU students. UHS is housed in the Mary B. Coburn Health and Wellness Center, a 170,000 square-foot multipurpose facility built in 2012. The Health and Wellness Center includes classrooms, a nursing triage clinic, a priority clinic, a fitness center, and a healing garden for personal reflection.
Responsibilities
Responsible for recommending, developing, and implementing departmental policies, procedures, initiatives, and long range plans for wellness promotion; alcohol, tobacco and other drug prevention; collegiate recovery; nutrition services; interpersonal violence prevention; sexual health and hazing prevention.
Assisting in the management, administrative direction, and coordination of staff and activities for the unit including direct supervision of wellness; alcohol, tobacco and drug; collegiate recovery; and hazing prevention professionals and indirect supervision of student staff.
Support peer educator program and student staff including recruitment, training, and advisement.
Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders and assist in developing partnerships throughout the university in order to attain goals and objectives associated with health and wellness.
Qualifications
Masters degree and two years of experience.
(Note: Higher education may substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
Knowledge of student programs and activities.
Knowledge of the standard concepts, practices, and procedures within medical, health, human services, and counseling programs.
Position requires pre-employment PPD (TB) and successful completion of post-hire OSHA training.

Anticipated Salary Range
Salary will be commensurate with experience and may include a comprehensive benefit package i.e.; health insurance, life insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, short and long term disability insurance, health and dependent care savings accounts, retirement, and professional development funds.
