Office of Retention – Division of Undergraduate Studies
Responsibilities
Responsible for the coordination and delivery of academic support activities that encourage student retention by supporting course registration, academic engagement programs, and direct outreach.
Supports the Engage 100 and Freshmen Interest Group programs through course scheduling, maintenance, and enrollment tracking. Compiles and reports data measuring and analyzing results to refine and improve engagement course availability. Facilitates students’ Engage 100 enrollments.
Facilitates Undergraduate Studies staff involvement in course registration labs during New Nole Orientation and during open registration periods. Develops outreach and provides individual advising support for students following each Orientation session to facilitate student course enrollment. Coordinates and promotes course registration workshops.
Assisting with the coordination of programming, administrative, and operational activities that support retention for FTIC and lower-division transfer students. Assists in establishing and implementing programs, policies, and procedures that facilitate course enrollment.
Serves as the organization advisor for Phi Eta Sigma (freshmen honor society).
Assists in developing and maintaining partnerships throughout the University to attain departmental goals and objectives. Serves as a liaison between the Office of Retention and the FSU community. Provides support with Engage 100, special projects, research, and other assignments.
Develops multimedia resources and information campaigns to support students in learning and navigating course registration processes and systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience or a combination of post-high school education or experience equal to eight years. (Note: post-high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)

Anticipated Salary Range
Low $40,000’s; commensurate with education and experience.
