Job Summary
The Student Success Counselor for the College of Arts and Sciences and The Water School assists students in their academic pursuits by providing guidance in course selection, degree planning, broader educational goals, and graduation requirements. Student Success Counselors work with students to develop program plans of study that align with degree requirements and career aspirations. Assists students through their college transition and academic milestones. Through data analytics, Student Success Counselors monitor student progress to identify potential pitfalls, recommends university-wide resources, and helps find solutions and /or interventions to physical or psychological difficulties associated with learning.
Student Success Counselors assist in university goals and priorities in the areas of retention and timely student progress, as well as continual efforts toward student goal achievement and improved academic planning skills.
