Florida Family Insurance Hiring for Claims Processor (Hybrid Schedule) Job at Jacksonville, FL Full Time

We are seeking a Claims Processor to join our team located in Jacksonville, FL. Upon completion of initial training period, this position will convert to a hybrid schedule rotating between one week working in the office and one week working from home.

Position Overview

The Claims Processor will be responsible for processing incoming claims and assisting in day-to-day administrative tasks in support of our field and inside Claims teams. This role will encompass letter drafting and requires excellent time management skills with attention to detail and proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming phone calls and inquiries on claim files.
• Receive loss information via phone or email. Enter claim information into master database.
• Receive and separate incoming emails/faxes/mail.
• Attach incoming correspondences to the appropriate claim and notify the handling adjuster.
• Prepare form letters, claim files and certified policies on behalf of claims staff.
• Escalate complaints and potential complaints to the appropriate personnel.
• Perform various projects and related duties as assigned or required.
• Support the company mission statement through personal professionalism, knowledge, positive attitude and understanding of the company technology and claims requirements.

Required Skills/Attributes

· Strong writing, proofreading and communication skills

· Well-defined time management, organization and planning skills

· A positive, collaborative attitude and strong interpersonal skills

· Articulate and professional with excellent listening and customer service skills

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

· Bachelor’s Degree preferred. High school diploma required.
