Elevate Technology Solutions is currently accepting applications for a Cloud Administrator, to support our operations in Washington, DC. Cloud Administrator includes requirements specific to System and Server Support; Active Directory Support; Single Sign-on (SSO) Support; Remote Access Support; Personal Identify Verification (PIV), PIV-A, and Non-Person Entity (NPE) Support; and specialized support to offices (e.g., Office of the Inspector General (OIG); and Offie of US Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA)). The Cloud Administrator will be responsible for the following:

• Maintain the servers in the Hybrid Cloud Data Center, AWS and Azure environments at high levels of server availability.
• Maintain server operating systems and their security settings configured in accordance with enterprise security guidance. This includes, access control, audit, and protocol settings.
• Provision new servers when approved via Governance/Change Management process.
• Maintain CONUS and OCONUS VMware host device configuration, security and hypervisor upgrades.
• Review COLO, AWS and Azure utilization and identify methods to decrease resource utilization through consolidation and right-sizing.
• Manage computing platforms, providing platform operation and administration support for PaaS resources, virtual machines and base operating systems on COLO, AWS and Azure cloud environments. This support includes system administration (virtual or physical server) of the OS to maintain current system patch levels and maximum availability.
• Manage remote access to servers, based on different user roles and access requirements to MS Azure platform.
• Maintain servers with approved standard configuration of the operating system in accordance with the Agency’s Enterprise IT Architecture standards including patching, configuration changes, and optimization using a phased approach to accommodate users in varying time zones and with minimal impact to business services.
• Populate and maintain server tags/attributes in the AWS and Azure environments.
• Maintain data-at-rest encryption security keys and re-encrypt server data in accordance with Security policy.
• Maintain operational documentation (e.g., Runbooks, Contact Lists, Operations scripts, system build guides, and system administration guides).
• Manage user accounts/access control and groups (Create, Add, Change) per SLAs.
• Manage local disk/hardware basic configurations for any servers not housed in the Datacenter.
• Administer file and print servers to ensure proper operation of the services for end users, including folder and space management for proper access to network shares for data storage. Print servers must accommodate the relocation, addition, and removal of printers in the environment.
• Ensure server specific information, including business function, is accurately maintained in ITSM tool.
• Monitor and track the performance and incidents of hosted server hardware on a regular basis and document relevant trends. Where appropriate, recommend hardware upgrades to respond to performance trends.
• Assist with the creation and update of contract deliverables as assigned.
• Work with network and application engineers to develop repeatable cloud orchestration scripts.
• eManage Azure PaaS, containers, and functions.

Cloud Administrator must meet the following qualifications:

• US Citizenship required and Active Interim Secret Clearance
• BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Physical Science, or other technology
• CompTIA A+, Network+, and/or Security+ or other advanced certifications a plus
