Description
Element Energy is seeking its first Human Resources Generalist, who will be primarily responsible for running the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Credentials
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
· At least five years of human resource management experience preferred.
Responsibilities
· Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
· Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
· Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
· Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
· Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
· Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
· Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
· Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description
Element Energy is seeking a Manager for our Hardware Engineering Team. This team is responsible for designing, prototyping, testing, and deploying Element Energy Adaptive BMS HW platform. The team will support such products from concept through launch, including related product certification and qualification activities. Additional responsibilities include working closely with our FW/Embedded SW team, to properly define the system partitioning / requirements and validate the system behavior, as well as collaborating with our Mechanical team to optimize the integration of the BMS HW in the battery pack. Starting as a small team and growing, the candidate must have a propensity towards both individual contributions and team building / leadership.
Credentials
· BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related field of study + 10 years of experience in the job offered or closely related occupation.
· Demonstration of technical excellence, leadership, and team building capabilities
Responsibilities
· Define Element Energy Battery Management System (BMS) roadmap for grid storage and electric vehicles.
· Drive the design of Highly Efficient Power Conversion Solutions (DC-DC converter): explore new architectures and model new power converter topologies and related control techniques to achieve improved performance.
· Coordinate and execute System prototyping: component selection, schematic design, PCB layout design supervision.
· Create and implement test plans to bring-up, debug, and validate designs to meet functional and performance goals; design and execution of product level testing with focus on safety, reliability, risk mitigation and FMEA.
· Work closely with Firmware and Software teams, Mechanical design and Manufacturing to bring the product into mass production
· Write requirement documents, application notes, user guides, datasheet manuscripts for internal/external publication
· Support field deployment of Element Energy products and provide technical support to key customers
Preferred Skills:
· Knowledge of BMS design and characterization techniques. Experience with functional safety development processes and lifecycle.
· Extensive Experience in DC-DC converters and control loop design: strong understanding of DC-DC topologies, switching waveforms, semiconductor and magnetics power losses.
· Experience working on design, integration and testing of firmware/software-controlled products.
· Solid background in analog/digital circuit design and micro-processors.
· Knowledge of battery chemistry, characteristics, and performance.
· Knowledge of grid-tied storage systems and how they function/interact with the grid.
· Experience with renewable energy products and/or electricity distribution systems.
· Experience working with high power and/or high voltage products
