Position Purpose:
With guidance from executive education leadership and in partnership with business development and program faculty colleagues, plans and manages delivery for in-person, virtual, and hybrid executive education programs.
Description:
Alongside its outstanding MBA program, Tuck offers a correspondingly distinctive portfolio of business education programs for rising and experienced executives. As the assistant director, program experience for Tuck Executive Education (TEE), you will provide essential logistical, administrative, and client service support, ensuring that programs operate well and that the business leaders participating in our programs have a transformative learning experience. Required Qualifications – Education and Yrs Exp:
Bachelors plus 3-5 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications – Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
1. Extensive experience and skill planning and producing professional, multi-day conferences, speaking engagements, education and training programs, and/or other events.
2. Experience and skill implementing, managing, and improving complex administrative process workflows and projects using digital tools for a high performing professional services team serving diverse internal and external constituencies.
3. Experience delivering programs in a university setting or other complex environment.
4. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in liberal arts, business or event management/hospitality and/or relevant work experience.
5. Able to support, contribute to, and strengthen a vibrant, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community of program participants and alumni, faculty, and fellow colleagues.
6. Able to anticipate, deliver on, and exceed the expectations of program participants, faculty and client organizations. Able to work some evenings and weekends to facilitate programs while in session.
7. Able to introduce and drive innovation in ways small and large.
8. Able to collaborate effectively with Tuck and Dartmouth colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives.
9. Able to proactively identify and pursue relevant learning and professional development opportunities and apply new knowledge, insights, and skills to enhance results.
10. Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as program needs require.

Description:
1. Development and Planning: Partners with the executive education team and program faculty to determine specifications for in-person, virtual, and/or hybrid program offerings. Applies program knowledge, logistical planning expertise, and assessment in making planning recommendations for in-person, virtual and/or hybrid deliveries.

2. Program Preparations: Manages the preparation and finalization of detailed plans for each program offering, including participant enrollment, timelines, instructional and meeting spaces, technology needs and assistance, facilities/custodial support, catering, budgets, invoice processing, securing support staff for session facilitation/coverage, travel and lodging, and other program logistics. Creates, monitors, and maintains the program’s learning management system (LMS). Manages the production and distribution of digital and printed materials, including pre-program assignments and orientation, external assessments, instructional handouts, slide presentations, signage, nametags, nameplates, swag and post-program activities. Trains, schedules, and supervises temporary facilitators to assist with preparations and classroom support. Partners with approved vendors on meeting delivery needs according to program content and contracts.

3. Session Facilitation and Evaluation: Conducts walkthroughs and rehearsals; tests equipment and software; and confirms classrooms, meeting spaces, and materials are ready. Greets participants and gives logistical instructions and guidance to faculty, facilitators, and participants. Engages with faculty, facilitators, and participants to anticipate and deal with issues and challenges. Manages participant feedback surveys, and prepares results and recommendations for presentation to executive education leadership and program faculty.

4. Team Collaboration and Innovation: Contributes ideas, input, and support to team initiatives, projects, communications, and other activities. Researches, proposes, applies, and shares knowledge of program delivery trends and innovations, particularly in the effective use of learning management, participant engagement, and communications tools to enhance the participant experience. Collaborates with Dartmouth IT Consulting and Online Learning Innovation, or other relevant partners, on learning technology integration. Works as part of the team to help colleagues during crunch times and overlapping deliverables.
