The Customer Service Supervisor is responsible for interacting with customers, end users, vendors, agents, the client’s offices, Customer Service Representatives, Account Logistics Coordinators, Logistics Clerks, and any other applicable personnel to attain customer expected goals. Also responsible for reaching internal organizational sales/revenue cost goals, resolving customer service issues, both internal and external, as required and overseeing direct daily activities of those assigned directly to them. The salary for this position is $56,000-$65,000 per year.
Responsibilities:
• Acts as a primary escalation point for staff under supervision as well as key customers served. • Interacts with Operations, Warehouse, Sales, and Quality departments to troubleshoot customer problems; proactively intervenes to solve problems and implements process/procedure changes based on learnings. • Assists in training of new employees; provides continuous feedback and coaching to assigned personnel regarding customer service quality as well as verbal and written interaction with clients and vendors. • Assists with customer satisfaction reporting as requested. • Keeps abreast of new company products and services and communicates to team. • Ensures all direct reports (and indirect reports where applicable) have the most current training and tools to do their jobs effectively and efficiently.
Desired Background/Skills:
• High School diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field a plus. • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in an office environment with emphasis on customer service and support strongly desired. • Freight forwarding and/or transportation experience a plus.
