The Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation (OVPRI) enables and advances Cornell’s research priorities, including research activities of Cornell colleges, schools, research centers, institutes, and laboratories. The OVPRI advocates for researchers within the university, supports specialized research facilities and services for researchers, provides campus-wide research administrative support services, and facilitates major interdisciplinary research initiatives.

As a Senior Administrative Support and Event Coordinator, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive support to our leadership team, including the Chief Administrative Officer and three Associate Vice Provosts. This role demands a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with sound judgment.
You will be the cornerstone of our leanly staffed organization, serving as the “front line” to a diverse range of inquiries from internal, external, and international communities. Your responsibilities will span from managing complex schedules and preparing for high-level meetings to orchestrating detailed travel arrangements and overseeing significant office and division-wide events.
This people-oriented position will require approachability and excellent customer service while interfacing with faculty, staff, scientists and students at Cornell University and around the world. This role also provides backup to the Executive Staff Assistant. Flexibility and a comfort with change will be required to handle multiple assignments and interruptions while managing detail-oriented tasks.
