Job Summary: Under the direction of the Finance Supervisor, this position is responsible for all payroll preparation and completes accounts receivable tasks. The position is a process focused role that will promote and maintain efficient, effective, and standardized functions that support organizational programs. The position is responsible for ensuring accuracy in each of these processes and for resolving payroll and receivable inquiries and concerns encountered in the day-to-day operation of the department. The position is required to handle and maintain confidential information for key agency operations and functions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Finance Clerk has the primary responsibility of processing all personnel recommendation forms as the first step in the payroll process, making changes in the Human Resources Systems, filing documentation, and communicating changes to employees. This position also supports Accounts Receivable
* Coordinate the process of payroll record changes following agency policies and applicable regulations.
* Other Department Functions
Financial Policies, Procedures and Internal Control Manual.
Safety: Responsible for conducting all duties in a safe manner.

Education & Experience: AA/AS Accounting degree, certificate, or equivalent training or experience, and 2 years of prior experience in an accounting, payroll, and/or financial role. Experience entering data in an accounting or human resources information system is required.

Mental Requirements: This position requires an awareness of deadlines, the ability to handle and prioritize
multiple tasks, and the ability to function independently. Position requires good math and problem solving skills.
Starting Salary Range: $22.24/hr – $28.54/hr
**Your hourly rate will be determined by a combination of education and experience**
Schedule: Up to 40 hours/week, M – F
Remote Capability: This position has 20% remote capability.
Your ability to work remotely is dependent on your productivity and supervisor approval.
