In the role of Clerical Assistant 3, you will be responsible for conducting research using the PA Vehicle Code, Commonwealth Automated Registration Entitling System (CARATS) records, PennDOT policies, personal interviews, and other documentation for both internal and external clients. You will verify vehicle title, registration, and disability parking placard records, make decisions regarding these records, maintain records, and provide information to customers and partners. Your duties will also include answering calls and inquiries from the public, lienholders, partners, and internal customers, managing electronic messages received through the Customer Care Center, and providing help desk support to electronic lien entitling (ELT) service providers for lien discrepancies on vehicle records. It is essential to maintain accurate work logs, files, spreadsheets, and reports to ensure timely and precise responses to customers and PennDOT management units, as well as maintain accurate production records within the work unit.
