Job Summary
The Office of Registrar has an opening for a Transfer Counselor. Under the direct supervision of the Associate Registrar, this position specializes in transfer credit functions. Specific duties include: data entry of transcript coursework; completing credit evaluations and other assessments of student coursework toward degree completion; processing transient permission letters; and performing other duties as assigned.

The position duties/responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Required Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university; or two years of college and two or more years of related work experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong customer service focus; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to communicate effectively with other staff, faculty, students and parents; ability to prioritize tasks during high volume work times and to switch between tasks if required; ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to perform detailed and complex work tasks accurately and efficiently; ability to cultivate a working knowledge of transfer equivalencies and accreditations of institutions and the laws pertaining to student records under FERPA.
Preferred Qualifications
Two years’ experience working in an Office of Admission or Registrar within a post-secondary institution and knowledge of Ellucian Banner software.
Proposed Salary
The annualized salary range for this position is $34,868- $37,852 and includes full benefits.
