Columbia Gorge Community College (CGCC) is a rural community college, sized perfectly to be
dynamic, nimble and innovative. We serve a full-time equivalency (FTE) of approximately 850 students, with a total headcount of
approximately 4,000 students.
CGCC serves a diverse region in north-central Oregon and south-central Washington. Our main
campus is within the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area in The Dalles, Oregon, with a satellite center in Hood River, Oregon.
Currently, the college offers a full range of learning opportunities, including collegiate transfer, career and technical education,
GED/Pre-college, high school college credit, community education, and customized training. The college has made great strides in providing
innovative and exemplary career and technical programs of critical importance to the communities and region it serves.
Who we
seek:
An Instructional Dean who brings innovation, vision, and data-informed, student-centered leadership to our Nursing and Health Occupations (NHO)
training, certificate, and degree programs—and high
school college credit courses—including Nursing, Nursing Assistant, Medical Assisting, and Emergency Medical Services. The Dean of NHO also serves as Nurse Administrator, per Oregon State Board of Nursing
(OSBN) standards [OAR 851-021-0040(5)], with institutional authority and administrative responsibility for the Nursing Program.

SUPERVISES THE FOLLOWING STAFF
Nursing and Health Occupations Administrative Assistant and all faculty in designated programs, including programs leads and/or
coordinators. May supervise work study students.
EDUCATIONAL
BACKGROUND
Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution with documentation of preparation and/or
experience in curriculum and teaching in a nursing program. [OAR 851-021-0045(7)(a)(A)].
EXPERIENCE
Five
years of nursing experience, of which three years shall have been in a nurse educator or administrative position in a nursing education
program [OAR 851-021-0045(7)(a)(B)].
Preferred Qualifications/Experience: Post-Master’s preparation in Education or doctoral
degree in Nursing or in Education. Recent clinical experience. Ability to meet Oregon State requirements for clinical instructors in an
Oregon facility. Experience in Associate Degree Nursing Program.
Licensure and other Credentials: Current unencumbered Oregon R.N.
License and Washington R.N. License.
Approval by the OSBN to be the nurse administrator of the Nursing Program is requisite to
holding this position. If the applicant is selected, application will be made to the OSBN. Approval by the OSBN must be received before
definitive offer of the position to the applicant will be confirmed.

Starting Salary Expectations
$68,587-$77,195/yr based on
qualifications, experience, and internal equity. Benefit package includes group health, dental, vision, long-term disability, life
insurance, PERS, and sick leave governed by College policy.
