The Colorado State University Pueblo Office of the Registrar links the institution with our past, present, and future students. The
office is responsible for maintaining the official student academic records of the University. In addition, the Registrar’s Office provides
a myriad of academic support services such as: academic record safekeeping; FERPA compliance; course registration; grade collection and
processing; processing individual student course withdrawals; course and room scheduling; transcript delivery; transfer evaluation; degree
audits; graduation tracking and clearance; enrollment and degree verifications; academic calendar planning; catalog publication; academic
policy enforcement; and, construction of the course and final exam schedules. Finally, the Registrar’s Office ensures compliance with extant
local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations. The Office of the Registrar is dedicated to providing the best possible customer
service to meet the needs of the University community.
Description of Job
The Degree Analyst I processes
student files from initial transfer evaluation to degree conferral. The Degree Analyst I is responsible for providing timely and accurate
transfer evaluations to both potential and existing Colorado State University Pueblo students. Duties include, but are not limited to:
performing transfer credit evaluations for new and existing transfer students through the use of the catalog, degree audit system,
enrollment management software, and the student information system; analyze course descriptions from transfer colleges to determine
equivalencies and transferability of courses and subsequently build transfer rules to reflect decisions; coding students for pre-requisite
placement based on official college transcripts; periodic reviews to ensure transfer rules are in compliance with state mandates; creating
working procedures that follow policies passed by university, state, and federal entities; update/create transfer guides and agreements. The
Degree Analyst I will develop and maintain Institutional and Statewide Transfer Guides. This position will also be responsible for special
projects as assigned. This position will create, revise, and maintain the Degree Analyst I policy and procedure manuals. The Degree Analyst
I promotes CSU Pueblo to prospective students and community members by providing excellent customer service, knowledge of programs, and
transfer articulation rules.
The Degree Analyst I is also responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of potential graduate
records through verifying the accuracy of students’ transcripts, such as majors, minors, repeated courses, remedial courses, academic
renewal and credits over 10 years. Utilizing university catalogs and CSU Pueblo’s degree audit system, the Degree Analyst I verifies the
accuracy of potential graduate records for the satisfactory completion of degree requirements. This position will also assist with training,
interpretation, and processing of degree audits, exceptions, and catalog/degree requirements. The Degree Analyst I may assist the student
and/or the academic advisor in establishing a correct plan of action for completion of degree programs. This position carefully balances the
student’s desire to graduate and the University’s need to maintain institutional standards.

information system. Ensure accuracy of both demographic information and academic transcript information in student information system and
degree audit reporting system. Perform other duties related to Degree Analyst I position to include, but is not limited to, the
following:
