The Nuclear Science and Engineering Center within the Chemistry department at Colorado School of Mines is hiring for a Post-Doctoral Fellow.

• Design and complete solvent extraction experiments with actinides.
• Synthesize ligands used in solvent extraction experiments.
• Analyze solvent extraction data using radiometric counting techniques.
• Contribute to technical reports.
• Contribute to published manuscripts.
• Work safely in a radioactive materials laboratory.

• Performs other duties as assigned including designing system components, troubleshooting experimental designs, contributing to technical reports.

Education and Experience:

• PhD in chemistry with experience in analytical chemistry and/or inorganic chemistry.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques, data analysis, and error analysis.

Education and Experience:

• Experience with dispersable radioactive materials and working with radioactive materials in general is desirable
• Synthetic experience
• Proficiency in radiometric counting is desirable

$60,000 per year
