Under the direction of the Director of Admissions and Records,
perform a variety of receptionist, clerical, and record-keeping duties in support of the Admissions & Records office. These include but
are not limited to: answer phones and assist students, parents, staff and visitors, and schedule students for Zoom appointments. NSC
enrollment uploads, processing in-coming transcripts.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Serve as
receptionist, answering telephone calls and directing calls to appropriate personnel, take and relay messages, create appointments as
appropriate. Receive, greet and direct visitors, respond to inquiries and provide information to personnel, students, parents and the
general public related to office, department or program activities, policies and procedures, and general campus information.
Communicate with personnel and outside agencies to exchange information and resolve issues or concerns.
Perform clerical duties in
support of an assigned office including word processing, filing, copy and distributing materials, organize and coordinate office activities
and communications. Monitor inventory levels of office supplies, order, receive and maintain inventory of office supplies. Process purchase
orders, payment vouchers and invoices as assigned? maintain auditable records. Create or prepare letters, lists, memoranda, bulletins,
reports, requisitions, flyers, forms or other materials from detailed or rough copy; compose routine correspondence; proofread completed
assignments. Receive, sort and distribute mail; prepare and distribute informational materials.
Operate a variety of office equipment
including a calculator, copier/scanner/fax machine, telephone, computer and assigned software. Schedule and arrange appointments,
conferences and meetings as directed; maintain calendars; make travel arrangements as assigned.
Train and provide work direction to
student assistants.
Prepare and process confidential information according to FERPA laws. Compile information and prepare and
maintain records and reports related to assigned programs and activities; review and verify accuracy and completeness of documents;
establish and maintain filing systems; verify and process forms and applications as needed. Input data; maintain automated records; generate
computerized lists and reports as requested; review input and output data for accuracy. Assist with department planning and program
review.
Minimum Qualifications
Any combination equivalent to:
Graduation from high
school or GED AND
Two years’ general clerical experience.
