College of the Sequoias Community College District is seeking a full-time classified position as part of the categorically funded Student Success Program.Under the direction of the Director, Student Success, the Student Success Coordinator will be assigned to the District’s disproportionately impacted groups and will employ best practices in an effort to increase student success. These practices include but are not limited to the following: regular and frequent contact with all students under their assignment; logging/tracking individual student progress/records; flexible work hours including evening and weekend and planning and tracking relevant budgets and expenditures.
The Student Success Coordinators will meet with students to create an academic engagement plan, set goals, and share resources to help students achieve their objectives within and beyond the classroom environment. The Student Success Coordinators will provide leadership in the Student Success Program through outreach to students and campus partners.
The Student Success Coordinator position requires strong critical thinking and communications skills, as well as the ability to work independently while developing strong collaborative relationships with colleagues, students, student services, and academic services units. The individuals must be able to exercise excellent professional judgment and discretion, making decisions on a regular basis that impact student welfare and the District.This is a full-time 12-month position.Monday – Friday, 7:45 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. Initial salary placement is at $69,451College of the Sequoias Community College District serves a diverse community of learners and is a designated Hispanic Serving Institution.
