As CNO, you will join an established hospital with 250+ beds and ensure safe patient-centered care daily. This hospital has been serving the Denver Metropolitan area for over 100 years and provides many inpatient and outpatient services. Inpatient services range from Surgery to Respiratory Care to Orthopedics. With the collaboration of the incredible staff focused on the mission of providing patient-centered care, the hospital has been awarded an “A” grade from the Leapfrog Group for Hospital Safety.
The CNO will work closely with and be under the general supervision of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Meetings with departmental leaders will be vital in order to ensure each department is functioning properly, meeting monthly goals, and following patient care guidelines. The CNO will be supported by a Nursing Director for each department and multiple RN Managers. The Chief Nursing Officer will also meet with hospital Executives to ensure the facility is meeting the proper standards and each department is performing successfully for patients and staff.
The CNO will oversee various departments within the hospital, including but not limited to, the Emergency Department, Labor & Delivery, Surgical Services, ICU, Education, and Med/Surg. The Chief Nurse Executive will direct the fiscal budget for nursing administration in order to ensure each department is fiscally successful. This person must also ensure all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements are being met for each department. The CNO will also manage the staffing for the leaders of each department and assure that the nursing administration team executes optimal care daily while taking into account the hospital’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
