Job Description:
The Clark University School of Professional Studies Graduate Programs in conjunction with The American Language and Culture Institute (ALCI) seek qualified individuals interested in part-time teaching assignments in multiple disciplines. These positions would require instructors to teach content to international students whose first language is not English. Prior experience with ESL or international students is not required, but it is preferred.
The American Language and Culture Institute seeks qualified individuals to teach the following courses:
Survey of Systems and Programming Languages
Python Programming
Human Computer Interaction
Software Engineering and Practice
Requirements:
– Prior experience teaching English to students of diverse linguistic backgrounds
– Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
– 3+ years teaching experience
– Knowledge of Canvas or other LMS preferred
– Willingness to learn and use Canvas for organization, assignments and record keeping
– Ability to commit to a once weekly, in-person schedule for a 14-week semester program
– Exceptional cultural awareness and intercultural communication skills
