Monday- Friday with an On Call Schedule| 8:00AM-4:30PM|
Job Purpose or Objective(s): This position is a dual role which will function as both a Drug & Alcohol Technician and a HR Representative. Responsible for administering drug/alcohol screening in the field and office and coordination of the human resource activities to maximize the strategic use of human resources and provide responsive, dependable and consistent service while carrying out various human resource agendas.
Primary Tasks:
Responsible for administering drug and alcohol screenings for pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, return-to-duty, follow-up and any other screens as specified.
Make schedules for pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, follow-up, return-to-duty drug and alcohol screens.
Notify appropriate authority upon receiving a pending drug screen from an associate.
Drug and Alcohol Tech is on call 24 hours per day 7 days per week in the event of afterhours post-accident and/or reasonable suspicion screen
Maintain HRIS records by entering, updating, scanning and approving changes into applicable databases and folders assuring accuracy, timeliness, compliance and confidentiality.
Provide accurate information to associates relating to HR policies, procedures, processes, opportunities for promotion, employee benefits, etc.
Respond to requests for information from management, outside agencies and the public.
Collaborate professionally with Managers, providing a standard of service consistent with Administration’s expectation. This includes, but is not limited to: new hires, transfers, policies and procedures, reports, attendance meetings, complaints, and concerns.
Prepare paperwork required to place employees on payroll and establish personnel file.
Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
MINIMUM
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Must have and retain valid driver’s license.
Dependability, consistently at work and on time.
Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications, especially Excel and Microsoft Word software.
Knowledge of office administration procedures. Ability to operate most standard office equipment.
Prior experience with a Jupiter Alcohol machine preferred.
Excellent telephone and oral communication skills.
Ability to be on call 24 hours per day 7 days per week during assigned rotation
One (1) year related work experience preferred.
TARGET
High School Diploma or GED
DOT/Alcohol Screening Certification
Must have and retain valid driver’s license.
High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
Extensive knowledge of computer software (Windows 95, 98, XP and Microsoft Office), computer hardware and computer servers.
Perform paraprofessional personnel work with limited supervision and general direction.
Prior experience with a Jupiter Alcohol machine.
Excellent spelling, grammar and written communication skills.
Ability to be on call 24 hours per day 7 days per week during assigned rotation
Two (2) years prior experience in human resources or related field.
