DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all activities related to prospective students, applicants, school
districts, and colleges from a specific territory/population - Attend regional and national college fairs (virtual where applicable)
Report on recruitment initiatives, including tracking of inquiries, applications, follow-up contacts, campus visits, etc. that allow for the
analysis of strategies - Capable of undertaking complex admissions responsibilities with minimal direction
- Ensure
Admissions-related information is up to date on the website and print material - Coordinate virtual visits and virtual recruitment
programs - Serve as primary or supporting leadership role to the Director of Admissions for a project or strategic initiative that
supports new student recruitment and enrollment - Demonstrating project management skills, collaborating within teams, leveraging
technology and virtual tools, and prioritizing individual duties in relation to achieving the goals of the college. - Conduct
engagement via telephone, email, written, and personal contact with prospective students, families, and school personnel in a timely
manner - Conduct interviews and information sessions for all populations, and when appropriate, tours of campus
- Promptly
respond to phone calls, emails, and inquiries - Manage application flow. Evaluate admissions applications and make admissions
decisions or recommendations in a timely fashion. - Work closely with financial aid and other offices on campus to provide
information students need to convert acceptances to enrollments - Extensive travel required for in-person recruitment to targeted
schools, colleges, and events in assigned regions to provide presentations to students and parents - Frequent evenings and weekends
required - Coordinate special projects as assigned and/or serve on committees as needed
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Ability to develop communication plans for events and for targeted student
populations – required - Public Speaking: ability to speak in front of large crowds both in-person and virtually
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Working knowledge of Slate
preferred - Ability to meet deadlines and handle confidential information
- Possess a valid driver’s license and car
insurance or the ability to demonstrate the capacity to meet the transportation needs for the position. - Time Management skills to
be able to meet recruitment targets and deadlines while performing duties off campus (traveling to recruitment events). - Interpersonal skills: ability to interact with diverse groups in a positive and professional manner in order to build strong
relationships with prospective families, colleagues, and stakeholders. - Sales skills: ability to effectively sell the value of the
institution in the midst of higher education difficulties. - Problem-solving skills: ability to think critically, creatively, and
strategically to find solutions to common occurrences. - Resilience: ability to handle rejection and setbacks to remain persistent in
pursuit of enrollment goals. - Punctuality
REQUIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college/university – required
- Prior experience handling an array of customer service
duties – required - 2-5 of progressive admissions experience – required
- Ability to work in-office M-F from 9AM-5PM
– required - Weekend and evening availability required
- Master’s degree – preferred
- Knowledge about
Financial Aid – preferred - Ability to stand for consecutive hours and lift up to 35 pounds – required
