The Web Content Assistant is responsible for establishing the creative direction of the Central Arizona College web site and associated web pages by designing, writing, proofreading, editing, and publishing information. This position ensures content is current and conforms to graphic standards and SEO best practices, while working closely with the web developer and content contributors to ensure content supports public relations and marketing goals as well as the college’s mission, vision and values. Assist with quality control measures that include oversight of content grammar, spelling, links, images, and design consistency and ensure responsive design elements function appropriately in mobile and desktop environments using various browsers. Utilizing components of graphic design to ensure website is appealing, engaging and provides a positive user experience. Generate and distribute web analytics as requested and provide Content Management System (CMS) training and support to content contributors. Works within the technical framework of a CMS but is not directly responsible for the configuration or development of this system. Assist Web Developer with website plugin management and other technical issues as needed. Collaborate with the public relations and marketing team and departments across campus to improve new and existing web content and structure to enhance communication effectiveness.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Associate’s Degree and two (2) years related experience -or- four (4) years related experience in lieu of education
