Grounded in best practices for student-centric services, the Director of Student Rights and Advocacy is responsible for leading the Student Development unit in the data-driven assessment for prevention education and targeted intervention while supporting all adherence to practices and procedures of Student Rights within Student Services at Central Arizona College.
Responsibilities
Designs and directs data-informed opportunities for district-wide training to promote student well-being and care for all Student Service professionals. Utilizes evidenced-based theory, best practices, and technology to plan and develop training curriculum for all student rights and advocacy needs. Recommends new training methods (including e-learning courses, game-based platforms, etc.) for all training programs based on departmental Lead Goals. Assesses data trends in Student Support Meetings and Code of Conduct/Title IX investigations to identify potentials for policy and structural improvement. Collaborates with Residential Life, Student Accessibility Services, Military and Veteran Services, TRIO, and Student Athletics to drive data-driven consistency in student support services and identify organizational structural needs for enhanced student care. Leads efforts to capture student voice for all student-centric wellness services and campaigns, including Central Arizona Cares. Serve as the Title IX Coordinator and manages and maintains all regulations in accordance, including all confidential documentation and electronic filing for Title IX investigations, any adaptations required from federal mandates, and all internal and external reporting needs. Serves as lead educator for all Conduct Officers and Title IX investigators district-wide. Supports the college community with data-framed coaching and mentoring to achieve the optimum in student care. Addresses issues of concern through courageous conversation and works with Student Services leadership to identify solutions for future team development and success.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: The position may perform other duties commensurate with the functions and level of the position to include participating in committee assignments and the recruitment and retention of students.? Qualifications

Duties require little physical effort in working with light (up to 10lbs), easy to handle materials.
