Catalent Hiring for Scientist – Extractables and Leachables job in Morrisville Full Time

Catalent Pharma Solutions is Morrisville, NC is hiring a Scientist for the Extractables and Leachables group. The laboratory groups at Catalent RTP are responsible for the support of pharmaceutical product development in a range of dosage forms both directly with customers and in collaboration with other Catalent facilities. This includes formulation development, structural chemistry, analytical support, and clinical trials material manufacturing.

This is a full-time position: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM.

The Research Triangle Park (RTP) facility is Catalent’s Center of Excellence for Analytical Services and is also home to Catalent’s Inhalation franchise including product development, clinical and commercial manufacturing for pMDI, DPI and Nasal Sprays.

The Role

• Develop and execute laboratory work plans and schedules independently, using customer milestones and Division/site performance standards and metrics
• Author technical documents, such as protocols, test methods, text reports, certificates of analysis, and operating procedures
• Perform reviews of GMP Mass spectrometry data
• Review technical documents for accuracy, thoroughness, and regulatory compliance
• Train, coach, or mentor others on technical/personal development and/or business issues
• Supervise technical staff, including work assignments and performance management
• Responsible for managing project timelines and customer interactions
• Execute efficiency improvement projects with guidance
• Identify and recommend business opportunities and process improvements on a project specific basis
• All other duties as assigned;

The Candidate

• Bachelors degree in Chemistry or a related physical Science field is required; Masters degree or PhD preferred

• 7 or more years of experience required with a Bachelors, 4-6 years of related experience is required for a Masters degree, and no experience required for a PhD
• Experience in a GMP environment is highly preferred
• Data review of mass spectrometry data is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required
• Must be able to work and communicate with all levels of employee, as well as clients
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Ability to learn and retain technical information
• Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds;
