California International School Hiring for Elementary Teacher Job at Rocklin, CA Full Time

Job Summary

This position is part time teacher for Upper Elementary students. The candidate would be teaching ELA and Social Studies to 5th and 6th grade students in a project-based learning school.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
• Out-of-State or California Credential Preferred
• Master’s Degree Preferred
• Preference will be given to candidates who have at least one year of teaching experience in elementary school

JOB EXPECTATIONS:

• Prepare lessons with a project-based, backwards lesson design in mind
• Work with students integrating a whole child, international learning focus
• Able to teach core elementary STEM subjects of Math and Science and some specialties such as music, science or art using an interdisciplinary approach
• A strong proponent of International Education
• Familiarity with inquiry-based instruction
• Someone who is a lifelong learner and has a love of teaching
• Caring, compassionate, and nurturing
• A high energy person with enthusiasm and passion for children
• Ability to unit plan and lesson plan
• Experience as a teacher in elementary private education is preferred.

This is an hourly position and the rate is based upon experience and education but ranges between $25 and $35 per hour.
