Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) is a multi-campus institution with vibrant, urban campuses in Boston, Massachusetts, in nearby Chelsea, Massachusetts, and at several satellites and instructional sites throughout the Greater Boston area. Job Description:

The Humanities 120 course uses a critical lens to examine the interrelationship among self, culture and society by integrating academic knowledge with personal experiences. Students engage in inclusive dialogue, create knowledge using diverse forms of media, personalize and map future goals, and explore career pathways. This course is designed to cultivate community among classmates and provide opportunities for mentorship by faculty, peers, and advisors. Students reflect on their role in creating a more just society that advances equity and values community cultural wealth. Each course section examines self, culture and society through a specific academic theme. Students choose a section based on their interests. This course meets the General Education requirement for General Education Elective.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree required.
• Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population
• Community college teaching experience preferred
• Experience working with first-year college students preferred

Qualified candidates will be invited to attend the Adjunct Academy prior to being assigned courses. HUM 120 faculty are also encouraged to attend professional development opportunities throughout the year.

Salary: $1,291.00 Per Credit Hour
