As the Technology Risk and Training Specialist you will support the Director, Office of the CTO to orchestrate the Technology department’s operation by proactively managing risk, driving training and development, and performing other reporting functions critical to supporting the Technology department’s success in supporting business objectives and customer outcomes.

As part of this journey, we are rapidly expanding our cloud and software engineering capabilities and modernizing our technology portfolio. We appropriately have aggressive goals and timelines, and this role is key to ensuring our technology teams have the requisite skills. To this end, the Technology Risk and Training Specialist will work with technology leaders to assess, maintain, and track talent and development needs, and will collaborate with partners across Human Resources and Talent Acquisition. You will likewise build and maintain relationships with our external vendors to articulate and fulfill talent needs when sourcing candidates.
You will play a key role in coordinating talent sourcing activities, crafting skills development plans for incoming employees tailored to the needs of their targeted team, leading training and development programs, tracking and managing short- and long-term skill needs aligned to strategic goals, and leading key initiatives and programs to enable technology leaders to fulfill Bremer’s corporate and technology department strategies.
Additionally, in this role, and as part of the Chief Technology Office, you will be responsible for performing management, orchestration, and communication of risks within the enterprise but focused within the Technology organization. You will lead internal assessments to identify risks, drive their remediation, and proactively identify and implement process improvements. You will ensure consistent forward progress on technology risk finding remediation and meeting critical delivery dates by facilitating collaboration with leaders from the risk and audit organizations and technology leaders and their reports to validate understanding of findings, finding ownership, and track remediation plan delivery. This role will provide regular communication to all levels of the organization and coordinate resources across cross functional teams, throughout the finding lifecycle, including serving as the technology department representative and response coordinator during regulatory exams and internal audits.
You will also engage in the tracking and reporting of key operational or governance metrics, and performance and risk indicators. Success in this role will require strong relationship management skills and an ability to work at all levels within and across the organization.
