Position: MS/HS Science Teacher

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education from an accredited college or university
• Valid Michigan teaching certification with Science (DI or DX) Secondary endorsement. Other Secondary Science endorsements will be considered.
• Highly Qualified by ESSA Standards
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Use of research-based teaching methods and strategies
• Knowledge of Michigan and Next Generation (NGSS) Science Standards
• Ability to facilitate student learning, growth and achievement
• Collaborative member of Professional Learning Communities
• Understand the importance of a whole child philosophy

Preferred:

• Prior Secondary Science teaching or student teaching experience
• Ability to teach multiple levels of Science
• Understanding of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,134.00 – $74,384.00 per year
