Provide feedback to representatives and leadership staff for appropriate coaching actions. Assist in updating and evaluating Membership policies and procedures. Provided quality assurance for. all production areas of Membership. Be available to coach and answer questions and assist others on a daily basis with solving problems related to work processes and procedures.

• Performs analysis and verification of accuracy of new memberships, new groups, membership and group maintenance, benefit coding, premium payments/refunds, CSC packages and suspense packages using Membership systems to determine if correct action was taken. Analysis includes all lines of business.
• Responsible for identifying areas of weakness where additional training is needed and communicated this information to unit supervisor/assistant supervisor.
• Responsible for providing turnaround times that ensure staff can achieve individual, departmental and corporate goals, and to ensure that areas of weakness are identified and addressed at the earliest possible time.
• Assists with feedback to supervision on the types of errors made. Makes recommendations regarding individual training needs or other recommendations regarding training needs to improve accuracy levels.
• Enters employee accuracy levels into the Membership Accuracy data base so reports can be used for performance evaluations and reporting accuracy levels for the unit and department.
• Meets regularly with other staff, trainers and supervisors to ensure consistency and to share ideas for improvement.
• Must be able to serve on cross departmental or cross divisional teams / meetings as needed for supervision in regard to quality and training, additional education and coaching.
• Recognizes and accepts responsibility of achieving goals to meet MTM goals as well as individual and department goals. Responsible to monitor the quality status of packages to be checked.
• Assist in updating and evaluating Membership policies, procedures and processes.
• Communicate system and processes changes and updates to all Membership Staff.
• Identify training needs on all new or changing products, systems, government laws, mandates, and policies at the individual, unit, and department level to improve accuracy of the department and service to customers. Work with supervision to identify other training and reference material needs for existing staff.
• Answer questions on corporate policies, membership procedures, and state and federal laws as applicable to Membership for BCBSKS staff inside and outside of Membership
• Responsible for daily reporting accuracy and completion.
• Responsible for participating and possibly leading meetings and other events as it pertains to the quality assurance goals set by the company.
• Maintain productivity standards as outlined.
• No adverse surroundings or confinement but requires concentration on a highly complex job and flexibility to perform another job without notice.
• The work can be complex and requires decision making.

• High school graduate or equivalent required. Additional education in communications, training and human relations is preferred.
• Six months Membership experience or one-year experience in a quality assurance or equivalent related work experience is required.
• Excellent human relation skills required.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with all levels of clients and staff, both internally and externally.
• Knowledge required for operation of a PC and calculator.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Requires the ability to obtain a thorough knowledge of Membership systems.
• Decision making techniques, situation appraisal and problem solving required. This is to include the ability to switch topics, systems or programs at a moment’s notice.
• Detailed knowledge of corporate policies, membership policies and procedures preferred.
• Ability to train and coach Membership Production areas and Testers and System Specialist after training.
• Must be able to learn quickly and work independently and as an integral part of a team.
• Must maintain a positive attitude and outlook at all times, including times of environmental change and increased workloads.
• Ability to write effectively and provide written and verbal feedback that will motivate, coach and develop employees.
• Must be self-motivated and results oriented and possess effective time management skills and organization.
• Must be able to frequently use judgement to interpret policies and procedures
• Must demonstrate a strong commitment to quality assurance.
• Proven record of low unscheduled absences is required.
• Experience using Microsoft programs preferred.
