Job Description:
Budget Title: Senior Staff Assistant (SL-3)
Salary: $55,000 – $60,000
The Civil Dialogue Coordinator will join a dynamic team of professional and student staff to support and further the mission of the Center for Civic Engagement. The Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) cultivates partnerships that strengthen communities and develop active and engaged citizens.
Reporting to the director, the Civil Dialogue Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the Civil Dialogue Project. The mission of the Civil Dialogue Project is to foster respectful and challenging conversations to help students responsibly engage and better understand themselves, each other, and their community. The Coordinator will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to plan, develop and execute a variety of workshops, events and resources to support students in developing and practicing skills related to constructive dialogue. As this is a new and evolving initiative, the Civil Dialogue Coordinator will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of the project, and should practice flexibility to meet shifting needs of the program.
Specific responsibilities include:
All CCE staff members contribute to promoting CCE resources, supporting students in connecting to opportunities, and communicating with various stakeholders.
This position requires evening and weekend work to deliver trainings/workshops at times convenient to students.
