Avery Dennison is a leader in pressure-sensitive tapes for the industrial markets. Our Mt. Juliet, Tennessee facility currently has 85 team members, but we are still looking for individuals interested in onsite training and development to join our team! We are currently hiring production operators to work on off-shifts. 2nd Shift Hours: 3:45p – 12a. 3rd Shift Hours: 11:45p – 8a.
This position is eligible for a sign on bonus of $1,500 (less taxes) paid to you after 6 months of employment!!

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Activities and duties may vary, depending upon site-specific needs. Essential functions may include, but are not limited to:
Follow all health, safety and housekeeping procedures, policies and practices. Consistently work in a safe manner with regard to self, co-workers and manufacturing systems.
Operate machinery, including coating lines, slitters and rewinders.
Operate powered industrial equipment, including fork trucks, for movement and staging of materials throughout the facility.
Inspect general appearance of raw material, work in process and finished product.
Sort, label and package finished goods for shipment per customer specifications, quality requirements and standard practices.
Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
Communicate and coordinate necessary information to appropriate shift / department personnel to ensure effective operations.
Perform 5S duties and audits.
Assist in equipment maintenance activities, as directed.
Perform tests and check products routinely using standard measuring devices and make process adjustments as appropriate
Follow standard operating procedures and specifications or instructions.
Maintain production records and logs of equipment and product performance.
Attend and participate in all required training.
Teamwork: Assist and support other team members in meeting department and site goals. Participate and share in performing all tasks necessary to run the facility. Contribute and participate in team decision making. Provide support in project work and other special requests.
Perform all other functions, as necessary.
Qualifications
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) OR 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience
Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
The site works a 24/5 schedule with 3 – eight hours shifts each day (day shift, afternoon shift, midnight shift). Some overtime will be required. Overtime can be during the week or on the weekend.
