Onboarding Specialist
Full-time positions with Atlas Accounting Group are non-exempt salaried and are no more than 35 hours per week!
This position is for an experienced, progressive, and modern accountant that wants to focus on the set up and clean-up of new clients and the systemization of the onboarding process resulting in deep connections between small business owner clients and the firm. Responsible for setting up processes, applications, and automations for new clients under guidance of the Director of Accounting according to the accepted proposal provided by Sales. Requires strong accounting skills, focus on automation and applications that improve efficiency and effectiveness, and exceptional organization and administrative background including project management and completion. Excellent customer service as the client’s first impression of working with the firm is vital.
· Setup of QuickBooks Online, Gusto, Dext, and other accounting applications
· Collect client information and organize in firm drive
· Obtain access to tax accounts and banking accounts
· Record client logins in LastPass with appropriate permissions and details
· Host meetings with client to connect applications and hand off to accounting team
· Evaluate catch-up work and refer to sales for additional proposals
· Complete catch-up work or delegate under guidance of Director of Accounting
· Manage and complete Books Built Better 30-Day guarantee projects
· Edit client chart of accounts to firm standards
· Build standard operating procedures guide for accounting team
· Report progress to Director of Accounting and team during daily stand-up meetings
· Manage and complete onboarding for full hand off to accounting team with sign off from the Director of Accounting
· Troubleshoot missing information, process issues, and conflicts during 2-month period post hand off
· Record and constantly improve onboarding process to enhance customer service, efficiency, and effectiveness
· Create and manage templates, checklists, and other internal onboarding documents
· Constant focus on improvement and standardization in alignment with firm values
The Onboarding Specialist will also be an assistant to the Senior Accountant by performing accounting and administrative tasks as needed, including posting journal entries and retrieving documents for current ongoing clients.
