seeking a contractor or contract-to-hire to fulfill the role of IT Security Analyst.

Location: Hybrid or on site – 3 or more days per week in our business center in Grand Rapids, MI.

The key elements of the position will be:

• Participate in 24×7 on-call rotation (approx one week per month) for critical alerts. We have managed service providers that greatly reduce the number of alerts that come through, but if a critical alert happens (phone call), they will need to respond quickly.

• Monitoring and investigating non-critical security alerts.

• Follow IT Compliance procedures (e.g. documenting responses to security alerts)

• Other security work as required.

Responsibilities

The IT Security Analyst supports cyber security infrastructure and operational effectiveness for our global enterprise environment. Activities will include identification and detection of threats, incident response and recovery, building and implementing cyber security processes, security consulting, and participating in design and engineering activities. This position will be part of an on-call rotation that responds to escalated security alerts from our systems and managed services and hotline calls.

• Responds to and investigates threat alerts and incidents.

• Responds to and remediates critical vulnerability discoveries. Performs vulnerability management activities.

• Configures and troubleshoots firewalls. Primarily Fortinet stack (Fortigate, Fortiweb, Fortimanager, Fortiauthenticator).

• Configures and troubleshoots IDS/IPS systems.

• Configures and troubleshoots EDR solutions.

• Provides cyber security consulting to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Develops security policies.

• Manages web application firewalls.

• Designs and manages remote access solutions.

• Manages authentication mechanisms.

• Ensures compliance with regulations such as Sarbanes Oxley, HIPAA, EU Safe Harbor, PCI, etc.

Who you are:

• Passionate about securing an enterprise environment.

• Bachelors degree, or equivalent experience.

• Familiar with networking concepts such as OSI model, TCP/IP, etc.

• Relevant industry certifications preferred such as SANS 401, CISSP, etc.

• 2+ years of cyber security experience, preferably in an enterprise environment.

• Experience with any of the following technologies strongly preferred:

o Fortinet technologies.

o Trend Micro

o Darktrace

o Exabeam

o Qualys

o Microsoft Azure

• Prefer experience with scripting or programming languages.

• Knowledge of information security best practices and standards such as CIS, NIST, OWASP, etc.
